Terry Smith – Administrative Assistant
Terry joined Heritage Specialty in 2014 following previous bookkeeping and general office positions with other employers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She is responsible for disbursing policies to agents as well as invoicing new & renewal business as well as audits and endorsements along with creating binders and evidence of insurance. She also assists with renewal business quotes, premium finance quotes and general office administration. Terry grew up around insurance watching her dad, George Ferrell.
Regan Hurt – Underwriter
Regan came to Heritage Specialty in 2015 following employment with the American Cancer Society. There she worked in fundraising and employee training for approximately three years. Regan is a graduate of St Edwards University in Austin where she currently resides and works remotely with Heritage Specialty. She works on new & renewal business quotes and can assist with changes to current coverage. Her direct line in Austin is 979.255.8561. Regan is a 3rd generation insurance professional.
Heritage Specialty was originally formed in Denton, Texas by George in 2004. Prior to beginning Heritage Specialty, George spent several years as a commercial casualty underwriter at the insurance company level and later expanded into Surplus Lines insurance. On the Surplus Lines side, he has held the positions of Commercial Casualty and Reinsurance Underwriter for a General Lines agency, manager of a competing Surplus Lines agency, and the administration of a program specializing in oilfield property and casualty risks. Though George later sold Heritage Specialty he is still very much a part of the picture as a friend of current ownership and father of Terry Smith.
